The Lough Swilly RNLI has issued a reminder to any visitors to Buncrana to keep clear of their emergency parking areas across the town.
It’s after an incident area where part of the restricted area was blocked by a tourist’s parked car.
Everyone is being reminded to respect the yellow-box areas at the Pier and also at Ned’s Point, as they are crucial if an emergency were to arise, and volunteers had to rush to the scene of an incident.
“Folks, can we kindly remind you that the boxed off area at Buncrana Pier is emergency parking for our volunteers. The same applies for the boxed off area at Ned’s Point,” the Lough Swilly RNLI posted.
“We appreciate that both Ned’s and the pier can be busy during the good weather but it’s important. These areas need to be kept free. Thanks.”
