A local Councillor has hit out after a dog fouling incident on Dunfanaghy’s main street.
Councillor Michael McClafferty posted about the incident on social media, with two large pieces of dog mess left outside a local business premises.
He has labelled the incident as “disgusting”, and is urging members of the public to be aware of the impact that not collecting after your dog can potentially have.
“This is disgusting, outside a business premises where many small children are today,” the Councillor posted.
“Clean up after your dogs, lift their cr*p and put it in the bins provided – or in this case two feet away from where your dog fouled.”
“In the interest of safety I lifted it. Toxocariasis is a serious disease that dogs can carry in their toilet stops. Think about it. Think about the innocent children. You ignorant Dog owner!,” the Councillor concluded.
