A call has been put out for any volunteers to come forward to help marshal for a fundraising concert this evening, raising money to rebuild the Derrybeg Church.
The gig is being headlined by some of Donegal’s biggest musical stars like Daniel O’Donnell, Clannad’s Moya Brennan and Altan’s Mairead Ni Mhaonaigh in Crolly this evening.
Doors open at the Marquee at Teac Paídí Oíg at 7pm, with music from 7:30pm to 11pm – and while there is no ticket required, donations are being accepted at the door to assist with the rebuilding of St Mary’s Church in Derrybeg.
There is very limited seating inside and outside of the marquee, with attendees also advised to wear suitable clothing to the event.
A shuttle bus will also be in place to bring people to the concert, with overflow car parks available too.
Disabled parking is only available at the venue, with disabled toilets available outside the marquee.
The shuttle bus services will depart at the following times:
- Dore Community Centre from 6.30pm
- Siopa Chroithlí from approx 7pm
- Distillery from 6.30pm
- Annagry Graveyard from 6.30pm
An appeal has also been put out for any volunteers who wish to assist with marshalling at the concert, with a large amount of people expected to descend upon the Marquee.
Anyone who is interested in being a marshal this evening is being asked to gather at the TPO at approximately 4:30pm this evening, and bring along any high-visibility clothing they may have also.
