After two close defeats to start off their Christy Ring Cup campaign, Donegal’s senior hurlers were dominant victors against provincial rivals Tyrone this afternoon.
Donegal were on top form and claimed their first win in the third tier of hurling in fine style.
The result was rarely in doubt from the start, as Donegal fired home three goals in the first half an hour of play to take a commanding 3-10 to 0-7 lead at half-time.
Two further goals in the second half through Kevin Kealy and a late Luke White penalty completed the rout, in a final score of 5-18 to 0-10.
Donegal will look to carry the momentum on from their performance to their next Christy Ring Cup game, a clash against London in Letterkenny in two weeks’ time on Saturday the 10th of May.
