Staff of Scoil Mhuire Creeslough are taking on a 11.5km bed push in support of a much-loved pupil, Cassie Sheridan.
Cassie, a sixth class pupil at the school, was diagnosed with anaplastic large cell lymphoma in 2022 at the age of 10.
The next stage of her treatment involves travelling to the Princess Maxima Centre in Holland to undergo a bone marrow transplant, with her older brother Michael as her donor. The surgery will then require six months of medical care and recovery in the Netherlands.
Following a hugely successful fundraiser by St Michael’s GAA club last weekend, Cassie’s school community will be completing a bed push from Carrigart to Creeslough to raise further support for Cassie and her family.
All are welcome to come cheer on the volunteers taking on the challenge on Saturday 3rd May, starting from 11am in Carrigart.
You can donate in the following ways: online at https://www.idonate.ie/crowdfunder/BedPushforCassie, with any Scoil Mhuire Creeslough staff member, via donation tins around the area, on the day of the event, or by sponsoring a space on the bed to feature your business logo.
