It was a busy weekend of running on the road race scene with the Carney 10k and half marathon.
In the 10k event Helen McCready made the trip a worthwhile one winning the ladies title in a great time of 37:45. She was followed by the flying Bernie Boyle with a fantastic time of 39:56 to take second.
In the Half Marathon Paul McKelvey was the first Rosses man back in the half finishing 10th in 1:24:03. Patrick Trimble who is early into his season got round in a solid 1:26:55. Declan Gallagher made the trip and ran into a bit of trouble but stuck at it to finish in 1:35:09.
At the Dungloe Parkrun where there were a great number with over 60 taking part saw Mark Ward got in a solid 18:29 with Maria Mulligan in 18:48. There were also large numbers at the Falcarragh Parkrun where Norman McClean ran 23:41 while in the Letterkenny Parkrun Michael Logue ran 20:30.
This weekend sees the u13 to u19 Donegal Juvenile Track and Field Championships taking place in Lifford.
