A group of talented young quizzers from Ballyshannon claimed gold at this week’s Donegal Community Games.
They beat out teams from Milford, Bundoran and Cranford to grab the top spot.
The final was held in Milford on Thursday evening, with competition close between all four quiz teams.
Scorekeeper Cathal Hagan said that “…it was a great evening had by all and the knowledge of these young people was amazing. The standard was very high this year, and I wish the Ballyshannon and Milford teams well at the National finals, and Bundoran and Cranford just missed out on the night.
Donegal Community Games President Nancy McNamee said it was great to see so many people turn up on the evening to support the young people and indeed the Community games. She wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their help this year.
“We depend so much on our volunteers, thank you all.”
“Any new areas that wish to join the Community Games can contact committee members.”
