Resurgent Finn Harps hope to extend their unbeaten run when they play host to Kerry FC in Ballybofey tonight in the SSE Airtricity League First Division.
Kick-off at Finn Park is 7:45pm.
Harps went down 2-0 in Kerry in the opening game of the season on what was a forgettable night on and off the pitch. The visitors barely had a shot on target and, afterwards, the FAI ruled that both sides had fielded ineligible players. Subsequently, the result of the game was voided earlier this month with neither side receiving any points from the game. Both clubs also lost their appeals to the decision during the week.
Currently, Harps are in 7th place on nine points, two points ahead of 9th place Kerry.
The home side will have to field without the injured Max Johnston while Conor Tourish, Kevin Jordan and Joel Thompson are suspended.
New manager, Kevin McHugh, said Darragh Coyle will hopefully return to training in coming weeks after a lengthy spell out.
“As a squad we are trying to improve from week to week, concentrating on the small things on and off the pitch which I have no doubt will help us improve as a team and individually,” McHugh said.
“We have an honest bunch of players who are prepared to roll their sleeves up for this football club, this makes a huge difference to the competition within the squad.
“Again, we will need the fans to get behind the players from the off as we look to maximise our home advantage.”
