It’s that time of year again when the elusive cuckoo makes its way back to Ireland and to Donegal.
The sound of the cuckoo is a signal for summer.
The birds, who lays its eggs in other birds nest, arrives here in April from Africa and is usually on its way back to warmer climates again by the end of July.
And although many may hear the cuckoo when out and about, it’s not many who see the shy bird.
