The Termon community is once again coming together to help keep the area looking its best, as the annual Community Clean-Up kicks off tonight (Wednesday 16th, April).
Volunteers from across the parish are encouraged to take part in this important initiative, which will run through to Monday evening.
The clean-up will focus on the main and regional roads throughout Termon, targeting litter and rubbish that has accumulated over recent months. Locals are invited to get involved at a time that suits them, with many families, and individuals already pledging their support.
Organisers have asked that all collected rubbish bags be left safely along the roadsides by Monday evening, where they will be gathered.
“This is always a fantastic display of local pride,” said one of the organisers. “It’s about more than just tidying up – it’s about coming together as a community and taking care of the place we call home.”
Residents are advised to wear high-visibility clothing and take appropriate safety precautions when working near roads. Black bags will be made available for people who need them at the designated drop-off points of Gracies Stores in Termon and Sweeneys filling station Termon.
Let’s all do our part in keeping Termon clean, green, and welcoming for everyone!
