Donegal’s Gerard McGlynn will represent Ireland on the international darts stage after winning the Irish Trophy.
He scored the win in the event, which is the final ranking event o fthe Irish National Darts Organisation (INDO) season.
Gerard won his first two games without dropping a leg, dominating on his way to the final.
In that final McGlynn defeated Damien Grimes of Louth 6-1, averaging almost 90 in a storming performance.
The victory sees Gerard climb to third on the INDO’s rankings, and guarantees him a spot on Ireland’s national team later in the year in the Six Nations Cup in Wales, and the WDF World Cup in South Korea.
