The popular Cafe Arnou in Dunfanaghy will not reopen this Summer, as its owners say their lives are entering a “new chapter”.
The Cafe had been a fixture in the town for a decade, feeding locals and tourists alike.
With a new arrival on the way for the Arnold/Kelly family that runs the Cafe, and the ever-popular Arnold’s Hotel in Dufanaghy to manage as well – it was time for a new beginning.
“A new chapter for the Cafe Arnou space,” the owners posted via social media yesterday.
“After much thought and with the impending arrival of a new addition to the Arnold/Kelly family, we have made the difficult decision not to reopen Cafe Arnou.”
“This space has brought us so much joy over the years, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who supported the café — from our amazing team to each and every customer who popped in for coffee, cake, or a friendly chat. Your support meant the world to us.”
However, the former Cafe Arnou space won’t be going to waste.
“But with every ending comes a new beginning, and we’re delighted to share that the space will soon be home to something new and exciting — a hairdressing salon!”
“The fabulous Mary from MD Hairdressing will be opening her doors here in the coming weeks, and we know she’ll bring great style, talent, and a much-needed service to the town.”
“We hope you’ll join us in wishing Mary every success in her new venture, and thank you again for all the love you’ve shown Café Arnou over the years,” the owners posted.
“Here’s to exciting new beginnings!”
