Members of the Donegal Fire Service are continuing to battle a major gorse fire near Kerrykeel this evening.
The blaze broke out this morning in the Gortcally area at around 10:30am.
Four units of the Fire Service from Milford, Letterkenny, Falcarragh and Dungloe stations are in attendance.
A helicopter, contracted from Executive Helicopters and equipped with a Bambi-bucket capable of carrying and dropping significant amounts of water, is also on the scene.
No damage to structures or property has been reported at present. However, some limited damage has happened to the forestry in the area.
The Donegal Fire Service does not respond to local media queries.
However, a spokesman told RTE more than 30 firefighters are dealing with the wildfire which is expected to continue until dark.
