Three talented teams proudly represented Donegal at the Ulster Community Games finals held in Breffney College, Cavan last Sunday.
The Fanad under-13 mixed basketball team put in a strong performance, securing a bronze medal. Meanwhile, the Ballyshannon under-13 girls’ basketball team earned themselves a silver medal.
The Bundoran under-13 futsal team made it as far as a semi-final encounter with Monaghan, which ended 3-2.
A hearty congratulations goes out to all three teams, their dedicated managers, and their enthusiastic supporters. Each and every one of them represented their county with immense pride.
Ulster PRO Tony McCarry extended his sincere gratitude to the invaluable team who travelled to Cavan to assist on the day, including Jennifer Hunter from Cranford and Nancy McNamee from Ramelton. Special thanks were also given to Manus O’Donnell, who served as the coordinator for the basketball events, and Tony McCarry himself, who coordinated the table tennis competitions.
