St Johnston footballer Harry Pearson has signed his first professional contract with Coleraine FC.
Pearson was promoted to the first-team at the start of the 2024-25 campaign and made his senior debut in the North-West Senior Cup final win over Ballinamallard United back in January.
The goalkeeper is also enrolled on the full-time education programme at The Showgrounds, which combines specialist football coaching/training along with expert first class education. Commuting from Raphoe for training and games is part of his commitment to the squad.
Coleraine FC head coach Dean Shiels told club media: “Harry has been performing to a high level within 20s games and the first-team training sessions all season.
“His attitude and commitment has been outstanding since he joined the club and we are looking forward to developing Harry in the future towards establishing himself as a first-team player.”
Goalkeeping coach Michael Doherty added: “Harry has all the attributes to succeed in the game and his professionalism and attitude to working and learning is next to none.
“Harry fully deserves his reward of his first pro deal and he made it happen himself and is a just reward for his development.”
