After forty seven years working at Glenveagh National Park, Creeslough native, James McGinley, closed his office door for the final time last week.
James has held numerous jobs at Glenveagh starting when he was nineteen years of age.
Throughout his career, James worked amongst other things, in Storekeeping, Procurement, Rhodendron Control and most recently was instrumental in securing Museum status for Glenveagh Castle.
James’ friendly manner, optimism and ability to tell a good story endeared him to everyone at Glenveagh and further afield.
With his time away from the Park, James will now turn his attention to the farm at Feymore although rumours circulating around Muckish is that he was observed recently taking the cobwebs off his golf clubs.
James’ friends wish him, Anne and the family a healthy and happy retirement.
