Dunfanaghy Workhouse, in collaboration with Dunfanaghy Family Resource Centre, is delighted to announce the launch of a new monthly film series focused on environmental issues.
This inspiring initiative will begin on Thursday, 3rd April at 6:30 pm and will continue on the first Thursday of every month for the next six months.
The series is designed to spark meaningful discussion, encourage community engagement, and deepen local understanding of urgent environmental topics. The first screening will feature Rights of Nature, a compelling short documentary created in partnership with a range of groups and individuals from across the island of Ireland.
Rights of Nature explores the growing global movement to grant legal rights to nature, mirroring the rights afforded to humans. It provides a thought-provoking look at how this concept could reshape environmental law and conservation efforts in Ireland and beyond.
Following the screening, there will be an open discussion, giving attendees the opportunity to reflect on the film, ask questions, and share ideas on how to better protect the natural world.
The film series is supported by Donegal Local Development Company and is free to attend, with light refreshments provided. All members of the public are warmly invited.
