Unions representing healthcare workers nationwide have suspended their planned industrial action next week following talks with the HSE.
Healthcare workers nationwide had been set to carry out a “work to rule” action beginning tomorrow – but that has now been called off.
All HSE services, including those across Donegal, will now function as normal tomorrow following 22 hours of talks between unions and HSE representatives at the Workplace Relations Commission.
Unions have been demanding changes to how staff vacancies in the HSE are reviewed, and also called on the health service to accelerate the recruitment process for vacant posts.
Members of the INMO, Forsa, Unite, and Connect Trade Unions are set to be balloted on the proposed changes.
Meanwhile, members of the Psychiatric Nurses Association (PNA) will meet tomorrow to discuss ending their work to rule action which began on Wednesday.
