Glencar Inn Saturday Division One
Drumbar United F.C. 0 v 5 St. Catherines Reserves
(No Report Submitted)
Glencar Celtic 2 v 1 Arranmore United
Glencar hosted Arranmore at the Aura. Glencar had the best of the opening exchanges and scored in the 13th minute from a beautiful Jack Dwyer free kick after Dualtach Molly won a free kick on the edge of the Arranmore box. It wasn’t all plain sailing for Glencar and the Islanders struck back through Paul Early on 32 minutes with the assist coming from Phil Boyle. 1-1 at the interval. It was much of the same in the 2nd half with both teams pushing for a second goal and it was sub Ryan Bonner who came up trumps for Glencar inside 10 minutes of coming off the bench to put Glencar 2-1 up in the 63rd minute. Glencar controlled the game from there on and were able to stand firm and take the three points.
Man of the match Andrew Doherty (Glencar). Referee: Leo Devenney

Swilly Rovers Reserves 1 v 6 Oldtown Celtic
Oldtown put pressure on from the first whistle and had the better chances but were unable to convert. Oldtown got the breakthrough on 46 minutes just before the halftime whistle when an inviting ball was played into the box and chested down for Drew Connolly to tap home. Halftime 0-1. Oldtown started again where they left off and in the 48th minute Shea O’ Donnell made the lead 2-0. On the 60 minute mark it was Kevin Mc Grath who slotted the ball into the bottom right corner from inside the box. John Mc Fadden grabbed two goals in 10 minutes when inviting balls were played into the box and he converted well. Swilly got one back when a throw-in was controlled by Tony Gallagher in the Oldtown box and he found Tyler Durning who finished well into the bottom left corner. Drew Connolly got his 2nd and the final goal of the game on 81 minutes. We would like to wish Joe Friel a speedy recovery after he was forced off with an injury in the first half. Referee: Mick Lagan.
Old Orchard Saturday Division Two
Cappry Rovers Reserves 1 v 4 Glenea United Reserves
Glenea got off to a flying start, scoring twice in the opening minutes, firstly through Sean Coll getting on the end of a set piece and then Ciaran Mc Geady doubled the lead. Barry Mc Ginley made it three for Glenea before half time in a dominant display from the away side. Cappry had a much improved second half and created a couple of good chances through Niall Ryan and Sean Patton. Glenea struck a fourth through a tidy finish from Christopher Barrett. Oisin Mc Glinchey got one back for Cappry when he went on an excellent run and finished into the corner. Glenea however ran out comfortable winners in the end.
Dunlewey Celtic 4 v 2 Fintown Harps AFC
Stormy conditions in Glentornan park as Dunlewey welcomed Fintown Harps. Dunlewey started brightly and pushed for an early opener, creating several chances to test the Fintown backline early on. They defended well in the opening exchanges to keep the hosts at bay. The pressure told when Dunlewey finally capitalised on a ball across the box to be slotted home by Joseph Devenney at the back post. Fintown pressed hard to get back into proceedings and began to get a grasp on the game and got their first goal of the game when Keelan Mc Monagle struck a shot from 25 yards to beat the Dunlewey keeper. 1-1 after 30 minutes. Both sides tried to get ahead again in the match but the score remained 1-1 at half time. The second half started with Dunlewey playing into the wind and starting the half much the same as they did in the first half trying to get ahead. Dunlewey took the lead again after Eamonn Cannon’s long range free kick deceived the Fintown keeper to loop in and put Dunlewey 2-1 up. Fintown again didn’t rest on their laurels and were back in the match when Breslin brought them back on level terms capitalising on a loose ball in the Dunlewey half and breaking well. Both sides were creating chances and the game was swaying both ways but Manus Cannon struck from 30 yards to put the hosts back in the lead. The game was wrapped up when Dunlewey got their fourth with 12 minutes to go. 4-2 the final score in favour of Dunlewey. Referee: Seimi Ferry

Kilmacrennan Celtic Reserves 0 v 6 Letterkenny Rovers Reserves
With both teams still having plenty to play for as the season draws to a close, this was a hotly anticipated game but in truth it was Rovers who showed their class, dominating from the first whistle to run out convincing winners albeit against a young and inexperienced Kilmacrennan team. The visitors got off to a dream start on 2 minutes when big striker Vlodi was upended in the box and Jordan Nugent confidently smashed home the resulting penalty. They doubled their lead on 16 minutes when Adam Murphy’s free kick took a wicked deflection to deceive the Kilmacrennan keeper and with just 5 minutes to halftime the game was ended as a contest when Vlodi scored from close range to leave it 0-3 at the break. The 2nd half continued in a similar vein, Rovers dominating possession, pinning Kilmacrennan back in their own box for long periods and that possession was rewarded again on 55 minutes, rampaging full back Artem firing home from 25 yards through a crowd of players for a goal he deserved. With Kilmacrennan working hard to create anything noteworthy it was the visitors that then struck again, full back James Lenty getting to the bye line before pulling the ball back and Nugent despatched it first time past Mallon in the home net to make it 5. With the clock ticking down Murphy got his 2nd of the day, skipping past a couple of tired Kilmacrennan challenges before firing low into the far corner to complete the scoring for what was a comfortable victory in the end. Rovers were well served on the day by centre halves Barlow and Nathan Bonner alongside the attacking threat of Artem and Adam Murphy while Kilmacrennan worked till the end with Tom Dockery, Steve Mc Daid and Owen Browne their standout players on a somewhat disappointing day for them. Referee: Matthew Hull.

Fanad United Reserves 3 v 2 Bonagee United Reserves
Newly crowned Finn Travel Saturday Division Three Champions Fanad United finished off their season with a 3-2 victory over Bonagee United Reserves at Traigh-a-Loch on Saturday. Played in blustery conditions it was Bonagee who took an early lead in the 5th minute. A clearance from the Fanad keeper hit off his own player and the ball fell nicely for Brian Drum who scored from 10 yards. Bonagee continued to apply pressure but slightly against the run of play Fanad equalised in the 22nd minute. Ryan Moffitt did well to hold the ball up before turning and playing in Charlie Mc Ateer who finished well high into the net. Five minutes later Fanad stand-in keeper Paul Friel did well to deny Brian Drum his second of the match. Just before half time, Fanad took the lead. Adam Carr went on a good run down the middle before feeding Charlie Mc Ateer on the left. After beating his man Mc Ateer squared the ball to Niall Toland who scored from close range. At the start of the second half, Bonagee had a goal disallowed for a foul on the Fanad keeper. Five minutes later Fanad got their third goal. Dylan Mc Bride won possession in midfield and his pass to Adam Carr split the Bonagee defence and Carr rounded the keeper to score. On the hour mark Shea Cannon shot from distance but he was denied by an excellent save from Bonagee keeper Luke Doherty. Bonagee then pulled a goal back in the 70th minute. After a short corner, the ball was swung into the box and was met by Darragh Hume who powered a header into the top corner. As the wind increased conditions became more difficult and there were few chances created in the final 20 minutes. Referee: Liam Mc Laughlin
Lagan Harps Reserves 7 v 2 Drumkeen United Reserves
(No Report submitted)
Milford United Reserves 4 v 3 Ballybofey United Reserves
Very much a game of two halves in Moyle View Park as Milford United came out victorious in a tightly contested match. Ballybofey had all the glory in the first half by netting 3 goals with no reply from Milford. The second half saw Milford take charge after a few halftime changes. Declan Jordan, normally between the sticks, slotted home Milford’s first early in the second half after a scramble in the box. Milford dominated for the next 15 minutes and Adam Campbell made it 3-2. Corey Lee Mc Conigley rifled the ball from a tight angle to find the net for Milford’s equaliser. Adam Campbell sealed victory for the Swans to make it a 4-3 win for Milford. Best for Milford were Conor Meakin and Declan Jordan.

Fanad United 0 v 1 Kilmacrennan Celtic
A single goal on the half mark gave Kilmacrennan Celtic a 0-1 victory over Fanad United at Traigh-a-Loch. Fanad had the first chance of the game in the second minute when Eddie O’Reilly swung in a cross from the right but Darren Mc Elwaine headed just wide from 6 yards. The only goal of the game arrived in the 30th minute. A shot from the edge of the box was parried by the Fanad keeper and the ball fell to Mark Patterson who scored from close range. On the stroke of half time, Liam Mc Grenaghan’s corner was flicked on to Paddy Carr but his header went just wide of the Kilmacrennan post. In the 65th minute Fanad almost got a fortuitous equaliser when a Keelin Mc Elwaine cross evaded everyone and came back off the post. With 15 minutes to go Conor Black went on a mazy run but his final shot flew over the Fanad crossbar. Fanad piled everyone forward in the closing stages with Kilmacrennan keeper Eoin Mc Gettigan producing a good save to deny Eddie O’Reilly. The final chance of the game came in injury time when Eddie O’Reilly headed a Daibhid Lynch free kick just wide. Referee: Patrick Martin

Donegal Physiotherapy and Performance Centre Division Two
Drumkeen United 0 v 6 Letterbarrow Celtic
The sun was shining in Drumkeen as Drumkeen wrapped up the home section of their Donegal Physiotherapy Division Two campaign with the visit of Letterbarrow Celtic. The first half was a close enough affair with only a Desmond Mc Groarty goal separating the sides. Mc Groarty put his side ahead after 11 minutes. Drumkeen did their best to get back into the game and they found themselves only a goal behind at the break. The second half continued in the same vein until Fernandez added a second goal for the visitors on the hour mark. Drumkeen continued to battle away but things got worse for them in the last half hour as they conceded four more goals during that time. Shortly after the Fernandez goal Desmond Mc Groarty added this second of the game and it was now an uphill struggle for the home team. Dillon Mc Groarty added a fourth goal for the visitors before Desmond Mc Groarty completed his hat-trick after 77 minutes. This was now turning into a really bad day at the office for the home team and Alexander Mc Nelis added to their misery with a sixth goal for the visitors after 82 minutes. Referee: Stephen Laird.
