They may have lost their manager during the week but Finn Harps managed a second win in a row in Athlone tonight.
Athlone Town…0. Finn Harps…1
The Ballybofey side hit fine form last week when they dismissed Bray Wanderers by an impressive five goals to nil to claim their first victory of the season.
But three days later they found themselves without a manager when Darren Murphy pulled the pin to eventually sign on the dotted line for Loughall.
But it was Harps who had the last laugh tonight, albeit it that it didn’t come until the 88th minute at Athlone Town Stadium.
Gavin Gilmore popped up for the all decisive strike to claim three vital points as Harps continue to put their poor start to the season behind them.
