Donegal County Council, the Donegal Road Safety Working Group, and Finn Harps Football Club have announced the fill list of winners of the 2025 Primary School Road Safety Art Competition.
This year’s theme, “Our Roads, Our Safety”, inspired over 900 entries from primary school students across County Donegal.
Pamela Smullen, Donegal County Council, commended the young artists and their schools for their participation: “This year’s competition saw fantastic engagement from students, the artwork delivering strong messages about wearing seatbelts, wearing helmets when cycling and using a light or hi visibility clothing when walking. This initiative provides a valuable platform to discuss road safety in classrooms across the county and raises awareness of how we can all stay safe on our roads. By introducing these key messages early, we can help shape lifelong habits. I would like to thank all the students who took part, the teachers and schools for supporting this important road safety initiative and to congratulate the winners.”
