Donegal County Library Service has announced the launch of a suite of resources which aim to help adults improve their English language skills.
The resources will cover reading, writing, grammar and comprehension and will be launched in Buncrana Library on Wednesday 2nd April at 11:00am by Cllr Jack Murray, Cathaoirleach of Inishowen Municipal District.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the launch to find out more about the resources. The launch is one of the many activities taking place as part of the One Donegal Social Inclusion Week.
Each workbook contains activities which can be completed as you read the book of the same title. There are multiple copies of these books available via branches of Donegal County Library Service and we invite groups to set up book clubs and use these workbooks to further develop their literacy skills.
Some of the titles are particularly relevant to ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) students.
All of the resources can be accessed and downloaded for free from our website. These workbooks add to our growing suite of resources which aim to support community inclusion.
Library membership is free and unlocks access to a large variety of free resources at your local library.
There’s no late fees and you can reserve your next read from the comfort of your home and your local library will let you know when it’s ready for collection.
Donegal County Library Service have many free online offerings too, such as free e-books, e-audiobooks, e-magazines, e-newspapers, online learning, and research resources.
