Members of the Irish Air Corps were involved in a successful medical transfer of a newborn baby from Letterkenny yesterday.
The transfer of a neonatal baby is a highly delicate procedue, requiring use of a specialised transport incubator.
Crew from the Irish Air Corps and medics accompanied the baby on its journey from Letterkenny University Hospital to Casement Aerodrome in Dublin.
The Air Corps posted a video of their arrival in Dublin to social media – where after a successful flight, the baby was transferred to members of an awaiting ambulance crew to continue its onward journey to hospital.
