Country music star Zach Bryan’s Dublin gigs will have HUGE numbers of Donegal folk descending on Phoenix Park, promoters have revealed.
Of the 180,000 tickets sold for the three gigs this June, it’s the rural counties that have snapped up the majority.
Donegal will have a “big big crowd” in attendance, as will Mayo and Northern Ireland, says Peter Aiken of Aiken Promotions.
It is no surprise that country people love country music, with just 12% of tickets sold to Dublin city dwellers.
“It’s all outside Dublin, it’s going to be a huge invasion of people from Northern Ireland and from Mayo, and Donegal, a big, big crowd is coming from Donegal,” Aiken said.
The Oklahoma star’s rousing tunes and solemn lyrics will be sung by 60,000 fans each night across his three-night run on Friday, June 20th, Saturday, June 21st and Sunday, June 22nd. Turnpike Troubadours and Noeline Hofmann have been announced as support.
Ireland is Bryan’s “biggest market in the world”, Peter revealed, due to the tickets sold per head of population.
The good news is that a limited number of extra tickets are on sale today on Ticketmaster! And for the little cowboys and cowgirls, Aiken Promotions has also added an alcohol family area for the first time.
