The Donegal influence was certainly to the fore last night as St. Pat’s college DCU tonight in the All Ireland Colleges Junior final.
No less than thirteen local Donegal players were involved in the DCU squad.
Many well-known local names and faces featured for the side as they overcame University of Limerick on a 1-15 to 1-11 scoreline.
The Donegal players involved were: Sean Ward, Ross Marley, Sean Breen (Glenfin), Cormac Callaghan (Glenswilly), James Kelly, Lorcan O’Donnell, Oran Winston, Donnacha Devenney (St. Eunans), Conor O’Donnell and Ben Rafferty (Kilcar), Conor Cassidy and Ricky Gallagher (Termon), Cillian Gildea (Killybegs).
