Donegal has one of the lowest ‘median’ house prices in the country at €188,000, according to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO).
Nationally, households paid a median price of €359,999 for a dwelling on the residential property market in the 12 months to January 2025.
The Dublin region had the highest median price (€475,000). Outside of the capital, the highest median prices were in Wicklow (€455,000) and Kildare (€405,000), while the lowest was €180,000 in Leitrim.
During the same period, the Donegal Eircode area with the highest median price for household dwelling purchases was F92 ‘Letterkenny’ at €210,000, followed by F94 ‘Donegal’ €197,900 and F93 ‘Lifford’ at €160,000.
Nationally, the most expensive area was A94 ‘Blackrock’, Co Dublin (€743,500).
