A Dunfanaghy school has been given the green light for an extension.
Deputy Pat the Cope Gallagher has welcomed the Decision by the Minister of Education to approve an extension consisting of a new class room to provide a base for children with autism needs for Murroe NS.
The project will now move forward under the devolved system, with the Board of Management appointing an architect to oversee planning and tendering.
Deputy Gallagher praised the principal, staff, and Board of Management for their dedication in securing this vital development.
“This extension will be a huge benefit to the school community for years to come,” he said.
The news has also been welcomed by local county councillor Michael McClafferty.
