Cara House Family Resource Centre is pleased to announce the continuation of the Carers Group which will now take place monthly.
The group provides a dedicated support network for individuals who provide care to loved ones. It also offers a welcoming and understanding environment where carers can share experiences, access resources, and receive emotional and practical support.
Whether supporting someone with a disability, illness, or age-related challenges, carers often face unique pressures and responsibilities.
Cara House says it recognises the vital role carers play in the community and is committed to ensuring they receive the support they need.
“We understand the challenges that come with being a carer, and this group provides a safe and confidential space for individuals to connect, seek guidance, and take some time for themselves,” said Katie McGee, Active Age Coordinator at Cara House.
“Our goal is to support and empower carers by offering a space where they can talk openly and receive encouragement from others in similar situations.”
The group sessions will feature discussions, self-care activities, and practical advice on navigating the demands of caregiving.
Meetings are held at Cara House Family Resource Centre on a monthly basis, with the next scheduled on Monday 24 th March from 12 noon to 2pm. This will include a complimentary mindfulness session and light refreshments.
