Donegal athletes brought home two medals after a brilliant outing at the All-Ireland Schools Cross-Country Championships in Galway yesterday.
Finn Valley AC and St Columba’s College athlete Odhran McBrearty made it back-to-back Intermediate Boys 5000m All-Ireland titles after a dominating performance.
He posted a winning time of 17 minutes 10 seconds to yet again lay down a marker as being one to watch in the future.
Meanwhile in the Senior Girls race there was further Donegal success.
A fantastic run from Lifford Strabane AC and Royal and Prior Raphoe’s Elsa Moore saw her claim silver in the Senior Girls 3500m race, posting a time of 13 minutes 17 seconds in a superb effort.
Her silver-medal winning performance at the All-Irelands was a fine follow-up to her Ulster Schools title she claimed in February.
