Donegal ATU were crowned the O’Regan Cup champions this week.
The Donegal ATU Women’s Soccer Team took home the trophy after a barnstorming 5-2 victory over Queen’s University in Sligo.
The ATU side had to come from behind in this contest, being down 2-1 after half an hour despite Kerri Loughrey’s opener giving them an early lead.
Up stepped Caoimhe Heron for ATU Donegal however, as she quickly scored the equaliser, and then put ATU ahead before the half-time break.
In the second half, Heron found the net twice more to put the result out of doubt, completing a spellbinding performance in front of goal for the young forward and helping to secure the O’Regan Cup for ATU Donegal.
