A woman in her 40s has been killed in a tragic road accident in County Kerry.
The incident occurred at approximately 10am this morning, when a car collided with a group of people who were out for a run.
According to RTÉ News, the driver of the vehicle, a man in his 80s, had suffered a medical emergency which caused the accident.
Three other people were injured in the incident and rushed to University Hospital Kerry for treatment, as well as the male driver who suffered the medical emergency.
Gardaí say that an investigation into the circumstances that led to the fatal collision is underway, and that one of their lines of enquiry is examining that the driver may have had a medical incident.
