Gardaí are seeking information in relation to a Peugeot car following last month’s attempted murder of a young Lifford man.
Charles Dooher (26), who was beaten by five masked men armed with iron batons at his home on the Coneyburrow Road on Monday, January 20th.
He was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast where he remains fighting for his life with catastrophic head injuries.

His father, also Charles, who is in his 60s, was treated in Letterkenny University Hospital for less serious injuries.
Gardaí were treating the incident as an ‘aggravated burglary’. However, following a meeting with the Dooher family and their solicitor, it has now been upgraded to an attempted murder inquiry.
Today they renewed their appeal for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.
They are particularly anxious to speak to any persons who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) of a silver/grey Peugeot 3008 (2009-2013 model similar to the one below) in the Coneyburrow Road area of Lifford between 10am and 11am on 20th January to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
