A big year for Letterkenny man Peter McEniff has just become even bigger.
The former St Eunan’s man has just been named the New York GFC Player of the Year.
Always a talented prospect, McEniff was part of the Letterkenny club which claimed the Senior Championship title in 2021.
But he relocated across the pond and teamed up with Donegal New York.
McEniff was delighted at accepting his award.
He said “I really enjoyed playing football for Donegal Gfc NY this past year. We had a very strong campaign just coming up short in the semi-final.
“We had a strong knit and knew when to enjoy ourselves also. Having not lost many of our squad for the year ahead and with plans in place to bring in some new additions.
“I’d be hoping we can go one step further and get to a championship final and bring it home! I am delighted to accept the award of Donegal NY GFC POTY for 2024.”
