Donegal Town’s Chandpur Indian Restaurant dished out a double win at this year’s Yes Chef Irish Takeaway Awards.
The top restaurant took home the titles of Indian Takeaway of the Year 2025 and Vegetarian Takeaway of the Year 2025.
This is the fourth time they have been crowned Ireland’s best Indian takeaway and the second time winning best vegetarian takeaway.
There were massive celebration for the Chandpur team on Monday night at the Irish Takeaway Awards at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Sligo.

This latest success comes as Chandpur approaches its 16th anniversary in business this November. Owner Rana and his nephew Forhad lead the kitchen team, supported by a dedicated group of chefs. The restaurant also boasts a strong front-of-house team, many of whom have been with the Chandpur since its opening.
Visitors to Chandpur will see their wall and trophy cabinet overflowing with accolades. Over the years, they have been named Best Indian Restaurant in Ireland eight times by various industry bodies, in addition to numerous other awards.
Last year, the Chandpur enjoyed national television exposure when it was featured on Neven Maguire’s “Coastal Trails.” The episode saw Rana and Neven cooking authentic Bangladeshi style cuisine together in the Chandpur kitchen.

Chandpur is open seven days a week, serving from 4 pm to 10 pm, and on Sundays from 1 pm to 10 pm. On Sundays, they also offer an all-you-can-eat buffet for €14.95 per person.
