Ireland West Airport is looking forward to a bumper summer season this year, with Ryanair set to increase seat capacity by close to 20% on flights from the airport.
This will come as welcome news for the thousands of customers from the Donegal region who use the airport every year.
Starting in April, Ryanair will increase the frequency of some of their most popular sun services:
- Alicante increases from 2 services weekly to 3 services weekly
- Faro (Algarve) increases from 3 services weekly to 4 services weekly
- Malaga Increase from a weekly service to 2 services per week
In addition, Ryanair has announced they will add additional seats on some of their UK services with the addition of a twice-daily service on Mondays to Liverpool every week during the summer and the addition of extra flights on their services to Birmingham, Bristol, London Luton, London Stansted, and Edinburgh for the summer season. Aer Lingus will also continue to provide a daily service to London Heathrow, providing onward and seamless connectivity to over 80 destinations worldwide.
This summer, passengers will also benefit from the construction of a new covered walkway, which will be connected to the Departures Boarding gates, which is set to be completed in early April and will provide additional shelter during inclement weather for passengers boarding their flights.
