A kind-hearted Donegal man has raised almost €30,000 for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.
Denis Sheridan, from Kilmacrenan, undertook a ‘daily dip’ throughout the month of December at different locations in Donegal, raising an incredible €28,000 for the charity.
“Incredible feat – incredible supporter- so appreciated,” a spokesperson for the trust said.
Living abroad for many years, Denis (main pic on left) appreciates the importance of the work of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.
The charity provides financial assistance and guidance to families seeking to repatriate the remains of loved ones back to the Island of Ireland. Since 2013, it has repatriated the remains of over 2,000 people back home to their families.
The Trust was established by Colin and Eithne Bell after their son Kevin (26) was killed in a suspected hit-and-run in New York in June 2013.
