Scoil Roisin in Dungloe has been given the green light for two new SET (Special Education Teacher) rooms.
The extension has been welcomed by Deputy Pat the Cope Gallagher, who complimented the school principal, staff and Board of Management for their dedication and hard work in progressing this project.
Scoil Roisin has an enrolment of 55 pupils with 8 full-time staff.
Deputy Gallagher said: “As it is to be delivered by way of the developed system, it will now be a matter for the Board of Management to appoint an architect who will then apply for planning, if necessary, and invite tenders.”
Pat the Cope, who is himself a former pupil of Roisin and has a long association with the school, stated that the extension will be of great benefit to the school community in the years ahead.
