One of Donegal’s most secluded hotels is to be given a new lease of life.
The Lakehouse Hotel in Portnoo is currently closed because of stalled renovations.

But now a new planning application has been made to Donegal County Council for retention planning permission for a number of proposed works.
The proposed works include an extension, a new bedroom and roofing works.
The planning has been applied for in the name of Midge Hotel Holdings which is a company based out of Ballyshannon.
It is not known if the planned renovations and refurbishments will be carried out in time for the upcoming tourist season.
