A lively fundraiser is taking place this March to celebrate the life of Tyrone woman Emma Lynch, who died in a tragic incident last St Patrick’s Day.
Ms Lynch died unexpectedly at the age of 34 in the village of Killeter near Castlederg.
In Emma’s honour, her family has organised a charity barn dance, with all proceeds going to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, a charity that holds special significance to the community.
The dance takes place on the 8th of March in Aghyaran St Davog’s GAA Centre.
All are welcome to this night of fun and fundraising with local stars on the line-up: Chloe Sweeney from Mayo, Ramelton’s Jason McCahill and Paul Kelly and band from Pettigo.
Emma’s niece Kelsie Moss is organising the event and said: “Emma was a massive advocate for charity fundraisers in any way she could be and I want to show my appreciation for her by organising this fundraiser in her name.
“On the night we have three talented singers, the theme is a barn dance style night. We are holding a raffle on the night to raise funds for the charity.
“It is my mission to raise as much money as possible in her name and show her legacy.”
The Lynch family previously donated £1,800 to The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust from funds raised in a darts competition.
So mark your calendars for Saturday 8th March, 7pm (admission fee £15) and come along for a night of dancing for a fantastic cause.
Donations are welcome online on https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/EmmasHooley
The list of prizes offered on the night is reaching up to £5000 total value, and you can follow the ‘Emma’s Hooley’ pages on Facebook and Instagram to find out more.
