A Co Donegal school have gone the extra mile to support their local RNLI.
Moyle National School, Newtowncunningham held a very successful Christmas Concert last year and kindly selected the lifeboat organisation as their chosen Charity.
RNLI fundraiser Hazel Russell Fundraiser and Finn Mullen of Bundoran Lifeboat Station attended the School to accept the donation.
Finn enthralled the pupils on the work of the Lifeboat Crews and of the dangers of the sea, highlighting the ‘Float to Live’ campaign.
Fundraising continues in Downings every Friday night during the month of February with a Table Quiz in the Harbour Bar, 8.30pm, max 6 to a team €5 per person, and spot prizes on the night.
Symptahy is extended to the family and friends of Dugald MacFarlane Rathmullan who sdadly passed away last week. Dugald was a lifelong supporter of the work of the Lifeboats, as anyone who boated with him down through the years can attest to his dedication.
Meanwhile, veryone in County Donegal and further afield, associated in any way with the RNLI and the work of the Lifeboats are delighted that John McCrossan has been chosen as the Donegal Person of the Year for 2025.
John was synonymous with lifeboats and the Lough Swilly Lifeboat Station in his position as Operations Manager and retired just over a year ago after many years of dedicated service. Congratulations John, an award well deserved, from all of your Lifeboat Family.
