Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted in Buncrana at the weekend.
The incident occurred on the town’s main street in the early hours of Sunday, sometime between 3.15am and 3.45am. A man was assaulted at that location by another man who was unknown to him. The victim was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive treatment for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Gardaí are appealing to anybody who may have relevant information or who may have witnessed the incident to contact them in Buncrana on 074 9320540.
“As always, we appeal for dash cam footage from the area also,” Garda Grainne Doherty said.
