Tony McCarry has been elected as the PRO of the provincial branch of Ulster Community Games.
Tony, who also serves as PRO of the Donegal committee, said he was delighted to be back at the helm after seven years.
With Covid over, they are now ready to make Ulster one of the top provinces in the country.
Tony has thanked all counties for voting for him and said that he was in the job from 2014 to 2017, knew what was involved, and is looking forward to the challenge in the incoming year.
Manus O’Donnell, the County Chairman for Donegal Community Games, remains in his role as Ulster Treasurer.
Tony said it was great to have his county man by his side. They both work well together and have been on the Donegal Community Games committee for the last 10 years.
The Ulster Community Games held its AGM on Wednesday evening in Ballygally, County Tyrone, with 77 delegates in attendance from all over Ulster. The new committee was elected on the night with the only change being Fanad man Tony McCarry elected as the Ulster PRO. The 2025 committee is: Chairman Leo Marron (Monaghan), Secretary Mary Bridget Duffy (Cavan), Treasurer Manus O’Donnell (Milford, Co. Donegal), PRO Tony McCarry (Fanad, Co. Donegal), and Children’s Officer Joe O’Reilly (Cavan).
