Gardaí have appealed for more information in relation to the sale and supply of drugs in Donegal following two major seizures.
Over the last week alone, over €10,000 worth of the deadly crystal meth was seized as well as cannabis valued at more than €30,000. Both seizures were made in Letterkenny.
The first took place on the 29th of January, when Gardaí attached to the Donegal Divisional Drugs Unit, assisted by the Armed Support Unit, searched a property in the town.
During the course of the search, suspected cocaine with a value of €2,800 and suspected cannabis with a value €1,200 along with €1,900 and £230 sterling was seized. A man and a woman (both aged in their 20s) were arrested and detained. One was then charged to appear in court and the other was released pending the submission of a file to the D.P.P.
The following day, Gardaí from the Drugs Unit searched a house in Letterkenny and seized €10,500 worth of methamphetamine and €30,500 worth of cannabis. A man in his 30’s was arrested and charged to appear in court next month.
