The U19 Boys team for Letterkenny Blaze Basketball Club won the North West Area Board Cup and League titles at the weekend.
On Friday 31st January, they played their final league game against Donegal Town Basketball Club. In what was a close match-up, Blaze managed to secure the win with a final scoreline of 71-63. They finished the season with an impressive 11 wins from 12 games, ending the league as champions!
Last Sunday, the boys took to the court again when they played Kilcar Basketball Club in the Cup Semi- Final.
A comprehensive win saw them progressing to meet Sligo All-Stars in the final. In what was a thrilling game, which saw the score tied five times, Blaze battled fiercely throughout. With a final scoreline of 79-63, in a game that included seven impressive 3-pointers from the Letterkenny side, Blaze were crowned Cup winners!
