Donegal had a big win over neighbours and rivals, Tyrone, at O’Donnell Park this afternoon in Division 2 of the National Hurling League.
Donegal 1-20
Tyrone 0-13
Mickey McCann’s men held a slender 0-10 to 0-9 lead at the break, thanks mainly to Sean Ward who knocked over four points.
The home side started the second-half well with two more points from Brian MacIntyre to put them five in front.
Tyrone lost Ben Gormley to a red card and things got worse for the O’Neill county when Conor Gartland found the net in the 60th minute.
Cormac Munroe (Tyrone) and Brian MacIntyre (Donegal) were also shown red in the dying minutes before Donegal finished with an impressive 1-20 to 0-13 win.
