A fundraiser has been launched to help support the family of a young man killed in a road traffic collision in Donegal last week.
20-year-old Kacper Dudek, a native of Poland who was raised in Lifford, lost his life early last Friday morning when he was travelling home from his workplace at Zeus in Letterkenny.
Mr Dudek tragically died on the N14 shortly after meeting a roadblock caused by a fallen tree. He had turned his car around, only to be struck by another tree at Feddyglass, near Raphoe.
His funeral mass will now take place at St Patrick’s Church, Murlog, Lifford tomorrow (Thursday) morning.
A fundraiser has been launched by family friend, Monika, to help support Kacper’s family with funeral costs and other unexpected expenses.
With permission of Kacper’s family, Monika shared the following message via GoFundMe:
“We are heartbroken to share the devastating loss of Kacper Dudek, a bright and loving young man whose life was tragically cut short during the recent Storm Eowyn on Friday 24th January 2025. Kacper, aged only 20 years, was full of life, dreams, and kindness; touching the hearts of everyone around him.”
“In this unimaginable time, we are coming together to support Kacper’s family with funeral expenses and other unexpected costs as they navigate this heartbreaking loss. Any amount, no matter how small, will help ease the financial burden and allow them to focus on honouring Kacper’s memory.”
“Your kindness, prayers, and generosity mean the world to the family. Please share this page to help spread the word and show Kacper’s family that they are not alone.”
