Today is set to be damp and chilly in Donegal – with a status yellow wind warning to boot.
Another weather warning, for ice and snow, has just ended at 9am.
Met Éireann’s latest forecasts for Ulster predict that persistent and at times heavy rain will spread to the northeast from the late morning and into the early afternoon, with scattered heavy showers following as well.
Strong and gusty winds are expected as a status yellow wind warning will be in place for County Donegal from 11am to 6pm this evening.
The national forecaster is warning of further damage to already weakened structures and trees in the wake of Storm Eowyn, as well as dangerous travelling conditions on the roads when the warning is in place.
Temperatures today will feel cool, between 5 and 7 degrees celsius.
