Donegal County Council advise the public that road conditions throughout the county are treacherous this morning with fallen trees on numerous routes.

Advice is to remain in place and not to travel until this storm has passed and it is safe to do so. The Red Wind Warning for Donegal remains in place until later this afternoon.

If there are trees down, or  there are other issues in your area resulting from Storm Éowyn, you can report them to the council on Facebook and Twitter by using #EowynDL

A number of roads are currently impassable, including the following:

10:22am: Tree down on N13 at Lurgybrack, Letterkenny, road still passable.

10:22am: Clarcam – Road blocked by fallen tree

10:06am: L1613 Loughanure to Meenamarragh Road blocked by fallen tree.

10:00am: The Kilmacrenan to Milford road is blocked due to a fallen tree and wires.

Donegal County Council will be monitoring #EowynDL on social media and the public are encouraged to use this hashtag when posting local issues on Facebook or on X (Twitter).
