A New Year’s Day car run and show in memory of a popular young Churchill man has raised more than €2,500 for Pieta House.
Daniel McCormack passed away suddenly on December 26, 2003.
However, his friends were determined to hold an event to remember the car enthusiast.
Dan’s Car Run and Show took place at Wilkins Bar and Lounge, Churchill, and it was a huge success, raising an incredible €2,526.40.
“As we close out this incredible chapter, I want to extend my deepest thanks to each and every one of you who contributed, big or small, to making this day possible. You know who you are,” friend Cormac McKelvey said.
A special thanks was paid to everyone who lent a hand on the day itself, and to Amanda, John, Gavin, and the entire McCormack and Boyce families for being on board from the very beginning.
“Now that the dust has settled, all I can say is, Daniel, we finally did it – a car show and run – though I’m sure it would have been easier with your help. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this possible,” concluded Cormac.
