Donegal County Council will be dispatching gritters to the majority of main routes in Donegal tonight as temperatures dip to freezing.
There is a weather alert for fog in place for all counties as mist and fog form overnight, with dense pockets possible later.
Northern counties will see the lowest temperatures of 0 to 3 degrees with a touch of frost developing in a light southerly or variable breeze.
Met Eireann forecasts the mist and fog will slowly clear tomorrow morning, with sunny spells and scattered showers for the rest of the day. Highest temperatures of 5 to 7 degrees in a light southwest or variable breeze.
The following routes will be gritted from 6PM on Mon. 20/01:
- 01: National Primary North
- 02: National Primary Central
- 09: Cill Ulta East
- 12: Binswilly
- 13: Stranorlar North
- 14: Stranorlar East
- 15: Stranorlar West
- 17: Donegal North
- 18: Donegal South
- LT: Letterkenny Town
The following routes will be gritted from 6AM on Tue. 21/01:

- 02: National Primary Central
- 03: National Primary South
- 04: Inishowen South
- 05: Inishowen East
- 06: Inishowen West
- 07: Milford South
- 08: Milford North
